What other businesses do you think are doing well in the environmental space?
Patagonia. They try to be as eco-friendly as possible and are seemingly upfront about their missteps and areas where they need to clean up their act. Yeah, they use oil-based products to produce their clothing but they are honest about finding a solution and continually improving. We appreciate how they strive for progress and are not hung up on doing everything perfectly.
What does affecting climate change mean to your business?
It means that anything is possible. The meal delivery industry is one of the biggest contributors to single-use product waste. If we can take steps in the right direction and bring a profitable business model to the market, then anyone can do something to reduce their carbon footprint and improve the world as a whole! #BecauseTheWorldIsntSingleUse🌎
Do you have any other tips on how to incorporate sustainability into one’s everyday life?

Plant-Based Beet Poke Bowl
We encourage people to look at the mundane and everyday areas of their life. It’s more than opting for paper over plastic bags at the checkout.
The most obvious, being a plant-based meal delivery company is to incorporate more plant-based meals into your week. Adding just one plant-based meal and skipping the animal-derived products can cut your greenhouse gas emissions in half! (Scarborough, P., Appleby, P.N., Mizdrak, A. et al. Dietary greenhouse gas emissions of meat-eaters, fish-eaters, vegetarians and vegans in the UK. Climatic Change 125, 179โ192 (2014))
Beyond eating and food, we want people to take a moment and think about items they use every day that may have a more sustainable solution. Choose wooden matches over a disposable lighter, opt for paper-based party decorations instead of plastic or resin, consider purchasing clay pots for your houseplants. There are so many ways you can make a hugely positive impact on our environment by shifting our thinking around what sustainability is.
