Jungle Supply

Through the sales of ceramic plant pots, Jungle Supply is a small business on a mission to do its part to protect the environment and support causes that aid in the regeneration of our forests. Jungle Supply is Canadian and female-run.
Houseplants have a bigger impact on our well-being than you may be aware of. Not only do they clean our air, but they’ve also been proven to increase happiness, decrease stress, and boost productivity.
Jungle Supply wants to help more people experience the power of plants!

Introduce yourself to the readers of TreeEra! Please tell us about your business and what you do.
Hi, it’s Renee from Jungle Supply! I run a small business that focuses on sustainability and supporting the environment through the sales from our ceramic pots. I designed my first collection of pots with the idea of simplifying your space. The clean lines and smooth matte finish allow your houseplants to shine and make them easy to style in any room.
What was your reason for working with TreeEra to plant trees? How does planting trees fit into your business’s mission?
I’m obviously plant-obsessed! I’m also very in tune with plants’ effects on us and our environment. Planting trees is one of the best ways to clean the air and create habitats for more plants and animals to thrive. Jungle Supply vows to only use sustainable materials in shipping our products out and wanted to partner with an organization such as TreeEra to support on-the-ground action.

There’s a shift happening when it comes to attitudes towards climate change and taking action. Why do you think this is happening now?
I think attitudes are changing because climate change is directly affecting more people. There are climate-related disasters affecting communities all over the world, and they are becoming more frequent.
What are some environmental issues happening in the world right now that you believe people should be turning their attention to?
The fires and flooding in British Columbia, specifically in the lower mainland! This year, we had the hottest and coldest temperatures ever. This caused a huge portion of the province to burn. Then we experienced extreme rainfall, causing flooding and mudslides.
Do you have any tips on how to incorporate sustainability into one’s everyday life?
Start small. Look at what you use and consume the most and make small changes. For example, I drink a lot of coffee, so I decided to invest in a really nice travel mug that I love. I use it daily instead of a paper or plastic cup at coffee shops.

TreeEra helps individuals and businesses reduce human impact on the planet we love by community-funding the planting of trees.
