What was your reason for working with TreeEra to plant trees? How do trees fit into Tesoro Botanical’s mission?

My reason for working with TreeEra to plant trees is that I want to help our planet and reduce my carbon footprint. I also want to teach my daughter the importance of taking care of the earth, and that every little step helps fight climate change. I believe this is very important for our future generations to know.

All of Tesoro Botanical’s skincare products are made with plant-based ingredients, which are inspired by nature. Trees and forests play an important role in our ecosystem. They help preserve soils, protect watersheds, provide habitat to support biodiversity, and help filter pollutants from our air that affect not only our health but also our skin. These are just a few of the reasons I believe partnering with TreeEra fits into Tesoro Botanical’s mission.

What are some other businesses that you think are doing well in the environmental space?

There are many businesses that are trying to incorporate sustainable, eco-friendly packaging and shipping practices into their brand. Some products that have caught my eye are reusable beeswax wraps, solid shampoo and conditioner bars, and eco-friendly laundry detergent strips. These products are made in an eco-friendly manner and shipped in plastic-free containers, which will contribute to less plastic waste and in turn, reduces a carbon footprint.

What does climate change mean to Tesoro Botanicals?

I believe climate change is extreme changes to the earth’s normal weather patterns, resulting from increased greenhouse gases and pollutants in the atmosphere. Changes to the climate cause increased heat, drought, declining water supplies, increased wildfires, poor air quality, and threats to human health. Tesoro Botanicals provides eco-friendly packaging and shipping materials to help fight climate change and reduce our carbon footprint, one small step at a time!

Do you have any other tips on how to incorporate sustainability into one’s everyday life?

Absolutely! Some things we can do personally start right at home. First off, we can start by using less plastic in our daily lives. Try using beeswax food wraps instead of cling wrap or plastic bags. Use canvas totes to carry your groceries instead of plastic bags. Purchase products that are in eco-friendly glass or tin containers, this makes it easy to recycle or even reuse at home. Be more aware of how much plastic you use, and remember there are always great eco-friendly alternatives to plastic!
