Our latest image series with @tzu_jan93 from Scotland was incredible.

Here’s his perspective on trees:

“Trees are significant in various ways. They are perennial plants which can be both seen to act as and represent the lungs of the planet. So therefore when I see and hear of unsustainable deforestation, it reflects to me what human societies are doing on an individual level when we don’t take care of our own bodies”

“Trees can also be seen to reflect the nature of the human mind and indeed the mind of nature as a whole. They are one interconnected, self sustaining whole and yet they can branch into infinitely variable particulars depending on endless environmental factors.”

“The whole aesthetic style of nature and indeed beauty itself is also represented by trees as the intricate and subtle behaviour of forests teach us lessons of balance, communication and sustainability which lead to endless forms of beauty.”
