In the past five years, we’ve partnered with tree planting partners in BC, Ontario and Nova Scotia. For our 2020 plant and onwards, we’ll now be planting on the East Coast of Canada helping to regenerate growth in provincial parks.ย

BENEFITS
British Columbia
Our planting initiative in British Columbia helped reforest an area devastated by the McLure fire which burned for 75 days straight and destroyed 26,000 hectares of forest, 72 homes and 9 businesses while seeing 3,800 people evacuated from the area.
Ontario
The Hearst Forest encompasses over 12,000 square kilometres and has been registered as a High Conservation Value Forest. There are a number of endangered species that call the Hearst Forest home, species like: the Short-Eared Owl, Barn Swallow, Olive-Eyed Flycatcher and more are having their home and ecosystem protected through this planting project.
New Brunswick
We recently started a long-term planting project at Parlee Beach Provincial Park located in Southeastern New Brunswick – A twenty minute drive from Moncton, Parlee Beach is just outside the town of Shediac. This was the first phase of what will be a multi-year program, and the number of hardwoods will be increased significantly in 2022 and beyond.
